About Miniature Horse
Miniature horse competitions showcase the versatility of small equines across halter, driving, jumping, obstacle, and showmanship classes. Despite their compact size, miniature horses are evaluated with the same rigor as full-sized breeds.
Miniature horses are shown in two height divisions: under 34 inches and 34–38 inches. Classes include halter (conformation judging), driving (pleasure, obstacle, and roadster), in-hand trail, jumping (free-jump chutes or liberty), and showmanship. The AMHA governs horses 34" and under, while AMHR accepts horses up to 38". National championships draw thousands of entries, and miniature horses excel in therapy and educational programs as well as competition.
Miniature Horse riders can find mini harness on TurnoutHQ, or make use of TurnoutHQ community groups.
