    About Combined Driving

Combined driving is the eventing of the carriage world, a three-phase competition testing dressage precision, cross-country marathon endurance through hazards, and cones accuracy. It is one of the most exciting and demanding disciplines in equestrian sport.

The marathon phase is the heart of combined driving, featuring a timed course through multiple hazards, tight gates around trees, water crossings, and terrain challenges, that test the driver's skill and the horses' fitness and trust. The cones phase requires navigating a course of paired cones topped with balls, penalized for knockdowns and time faults. FEI World Championships and CAI events draw competitors from around the world. In the U.S., the ADS sanctions events from Training through Advanced levels.
